It is said that Gaz dates back to about 450 years ago and the Qajar period. Gaz was produced for the first time in the Safavid period. The initial composition of turmeric contained hazelnuts, egg whites, sugar, pistachio kernels and almonds. Years later, with the introduction of liquid glucose into the food industry, this substance replaced honey in turmeric compounds.
